Mantecado
Pure sweetness: close, affectionate, and with a calmness you can feel the moment you touch him.
PRE colt · 3 years old (turns 3 in August) · Expected height 1.63 m · Alicante (Spain)
Description
Just like his name, Mantecado is pure sweetness. We named him after that delicious traditional pastry made with butter, milk, eggs and sugar… and there is no better way to describe his essence: gentle, soft and deeply endearing.
He was born into a home full of love, where he has grown up surrounded by care, affection and kindness. He is a close, affectionate colt, one of those who actively seeks your company and enjoys being cuddled. You can lean on him or hug him, and he will always meet you with a calmness that feels like a gentle touch to the soul.
He lives in freedom, in a wide and natural environment, sharing life with a varied herd: adult mares who teach him boundaries and good manners, a charming mini Shetland pony, and other young horses he plays and socialises with. We firmly believe that contact with a diverse herd is the best school for any young horse.
He enjoys life outdoors 24 hours a day, with space to move, play and simply be a colt. He has also started going on short walks on the lead rope through the forest, always showing his calm and willing character.
Mantecado is a colt who wins hearts with his tenderness. If you feel you can offer him a life where he can continue to grow in freedom, respect and affection, we will be delighted to meet you.
What has been worked on
- Close and respectful handling: contact, affection and trust.
- Walks on the lead rope through the forest: calm, willing and curious.
- Tricks: lying down, giving kisses, introduction to Spanish walk.
- Foundation education: soft boundaries, cooperation and calm.
Note about his coat
Due to his particular coat, he carries the CrPrl gene, which also makes him interesting for selective breeding projects.
This is not a “quick sale”. Homes where he would be deprived of a dignified life aligned with his needs as a horse will not be considered. He will not be sold to live shut in a box 24h a day.
